James Lee Beuoy, age 89, passed away on Monday, September 9,
2013, in Bellevue, Washington.
He was born September 15, 1923, in Eaton, Indiana, to Frank
and Florence( Hartzell) Beuoy and graduated from Eaton high School in 1941.
He served in the United States Air Force during World War
II. When his plane crashed in Switzerland, he was held as a Prisoner of War for
several months.
On April 8, 1945, he married Lila June Clevenger, who
preceded him in death earlier this year.
He graduated from Purdue University in 1954 and worked as a
pharmacist and manager in Decatur, Indiana, and
West Lafayette for several years. After retiring, he and June moved to
Sun City
West, Arizona, where they lived until they moved this year
to Bellevue, Washington, to be near their son.
He is survived by his son, James Lee Beuoy II ( Jean),
Kirkland, Washington, a brother, William E. Beuoy (
Gloria Joy), Warsaw, Indiana, a sister Mary F. Roberts, Marion, Indiana, three grandchildren, Thomas Beuoy,
(Macy), Phoenix, Arizona, Suzanne Beuoy, Crested Butte, Colorado and Michael
Beuoy, San Diego, California, three great grandchildren and several nieces and
nephews
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lila June, his
parents, a brother, Lester Earl, killed in WWII
and a grandson, James Lee Beuoy III.
Memorial services will held in Bellevue, Washington, on
Wednesday, September 18.
A Graveside Service with Military Rites by the Delaware
County Veterans Honor Guard will be held at the Mathews Cemetery on Saturday,
September 21 at 1:00 p.pm. with Rev Teal Younce officiating.
Memorials may be made in his memory to the charity of the donor’s choice.
