Annabell Gray, 86

EATON, IN

Annabell Gray, 86, went to be with the Lord on March 17, 2011 at Ball Memorial Hospital.

The daughter of Frank and Lillie (Upton) Matchett was born on December 13, 1924 in Muncie. Annabell was a graduate of Eaton High School, class of 1943. She married Robert (Buster) Gray on June 23, 1945 and they celebrated 55 years together.

Annabell worked for Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company during World War II and in the Del-Com Schools cafeteria retiring in 1986. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #90.

She is survived by her children: Cynthia Sites, Eaton, Connie Brown (husband, Jim), Knightstown, and Chris Gray (wife, Kindel), Muncie, four grandchildren: Shawn Brown (wife, Amy), Knightstown, Aaron Brown (wife, Erica), Ft. Wayne, Colby Gray (wife, Julie), Muncie, and Kortney Gray, Muncie, five great-grandchildren: Kelsi Brown, Tyler Brown, MaKenna Brown, Carson Brown and Avery Gray, and one sister, Ethel Hutchens, Eaton.

Also surviving are her extended family: a granddaughter, Amber Showgren (husband, Brett) and their children, Zachary, Nicholas, Owen and Samantha of Provo, Utah, a grandson, Garricc Strauch (wife, Kelly), and their children, Jeffrey and Shandi of Vicksburg, Michigan, a grandson, Brandon Sites (wife, Tara), and their children Chase Sites and Kyler Miranda of Muncie, a grandson, Bradley Sites (Trevor Nancollas) and their daughter, Leila of Salt Lake City, Utah, a great grandson Carson Sites of Muncie, and a great-granddaughter Chelsea Sites of Muncie.

Annabell was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Gray, her parents Frank and Lillie Matchett, brothers: Art, Don, Claude and Morris Matchett, sisters: Mary Lou, Dorothy, Marie, Susie, Sylvia, Helen and Thelma.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am. Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at the Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton, with Pastor Roger Campbell presiding. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Monday, March 21 and one hour prior to services Tuesday.

Bernice I. (Monroe) Wilber, 71

EATON, IN

Bernice I. (Monroe) Wilber, 71, of Eaton, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at her home.

Bernice was born on April 28, 1939 in Muncie to the late Dorothy and Bud Monroe. She married Donald David Wilber on January 28, 1959 in Muncie.

She was a homemaker and mother and had previously been employed at Overhead Door Company in Hartford City, IN and Twoson Tool in Matthews, IN. She was a member of the Full Gospel Light House in Dunkirk and enjoyed crafts, sewing and fishing.

Bernice is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Donald Wilber, their children, Donald Alan Wilber (wife, Judy) of Muncie, Edward (Ben) Wilber of Eaton, Clarence (Eugene) Wilber (wife, Sherry) of Muncie, Dorothy Stafford (husband, Danny) of Eaton, Rose Miller (husband, Scott) of Groton, CT, eighteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, two brothers, James Burnum and David Burnum, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Bernice was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary K. Blevins, a grandson, Bobby Jo Stafford, 2 sisters, Mildred Green and Phyllis Phillips and two brothers James Monroe, and Eddie Everoads.

A funeral service to celebrate Bernice’s life will be at 11:00 am Friday, March 4, 2011 in the Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton with Rev. Bobby Thomas presiding. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, Eaton.

Friends and family may gather to share are remember, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Thursday, March 3 and also one hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.
