Iva J. Manes, 93

EATON, IN

IVA J. MANES, 93, passed away Sunday, March 7, 2010 at the Golden Living Center, Muncie.

She was born in Phelps County, Missouri, on June 11, 1916 to James and Pearl (Mobley) Walker, had resided in Eaton since 1951, moving from Modoc. She married Glen F. Manes on December 2, 1933. He preceded her in death on February 15, 1959.

A homemaker, she was a member of the Eaton United Methodist Church, and had worked at Dryden Rubber Company, Montpelier in the early 1950s. She also belonged to Rural Friendship Club of Blackford County.

Surviving are her children, Marvin Manes (wife, Donna), Eaton, and Wanda Ogle (husband, Freeman), Muncie, one brother, James Walker (wife, Rosie), Owensville, MO, two sisters, Ada Mae Lewis (husband, Herb) Rolla, MO, and Nadine Jarvis (husband, Carl), Owensville, MO, three grandchildren, Rick Manes (wife, Jodi), Dennis Ogle (wife, Dara), Karla Gibson (husband, Martin), 5 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband Glen, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Patsy Jean Manes on October 9, 1952, and five sisters, Ruth Delong, Ruby Hayes, Orpha Maphis, Opal Medlock, and Elma Cox.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 10, 2010 in the Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton with Pastor Keith Williams presiding. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, Eaton.

Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Rick Manes, Dennis Ogle, Martin Gibson, Ryan Fathaure, and Zachary Ogle.

Diana E. Sutliff, 63

MUNCIE, IN

DIANA E. SUTLIFF, 63, passed away, Friday, March 5, 2010 at Liberty Village, Muncie.

The daughter of Lester and Dorothy (Wright) Goodman, she was born January 9, 1947 in Muncie. A 1965 graduate of Muncie Southside High School, she married Rusty Sutliff on June 25, 1967.

Diana worked as a spot welder for Midwest Metals. She enjoyed fishing and spending time at the river boats..

Surviving are her children, JR Sutliff, Jr. (wife, Ellen), Muncie, and Jeff Sutliff (wife, Angie), Indianapolis, mother, Dorothy Schroeder, three grandchildren: Ashley, Sethe, and Austin, one brother, Onzie Goodman, three sisters: Rita, Norma, and Sue, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father, Lester Goodman, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rusty Sutliff, and a brother Roger Lane Goodman.

Funeral services will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. Monday, March 8, 2010 in the Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton, with Pastor Dennis Tremble presiding. Burial will be made at Union Cemetery, Eaton.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
