Lee L. Mansfield, 86

MUNCIE, IN

Lee L. Mansfield, 86, passed away, June 20, 2010 in Ball Memorial Hospital.

The son of Robert and Hazel (Sellers) Mansfield, he was born June 22, 1923 in Miller, South Dakota. Lee served his country in the Navy during WWII and married Margaret Daily on January 11, 1944. Together they raised four children.

Lee worked for Warner Gear, retiring in 1980. He was a member of the American Legion, Yorktown, Eaton Lodge #606 F&AM, the Eagles, Muncie, VFW of Muncie and the Moose Lodge.

He is survived by his children Robert Mansfield (wife, Sandy), Dianna Hendricks (husband, Barry) and Connie Duckworth (husband, Brad), their mother, Margaret Corner, 18 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, several nieces and nephews, 1 step-daughter, 2 step-grandchildren, and 6 step-great-grandchildren,

Lee was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Hazel, a son, Charles Mansfield, three brothers, Cassius, Keith, and Robert Mansfield, his second wife, Mary Mansfield and third wife, Thelma (Hoover) Mansfield, as well as a great-granddaughter Kristen Smith.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am., Thursday, June 24, 2010 in the Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton with Pastor Thom Rittichier presiding.
Burial with Military Rites by the Delaware County Veterans Honor Guard will follow in Union Cemetery, Eaton.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Wednesday, June 23 and one hour prior to services Thursday.
