Joanne J. Humphrey



DUNKIRK, IN

 Joanne J. Humphrey, 78, passed away on August 16, 2016 at her home. 

 She was born on February 26, 1938 in Jay County to Jake and Regina Uhrick.  Joanne was a 1956 graduate of Dunkirk High School and would later work for Saint Gobain, retiring after 40 years of employment.

 Joanne is survived by her two children Roger Humphrey of Ossian, Indiana, and Sandra Williams of Eaton, Indiana, two grandchildren, Matthew Arguilez and Levi Williams, three great-grandchildren, two sisters, Dianne McCord and Rosemond Scott (husband, Raymond) as well as several nieces and nephews.

 In addition to her parents, Joanne was preceded in death by her son, Anthony Humphrey.

 A Celebration of Life will be held at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton, on Saturday, August 27, 2016 from 2:00 until 4:00 pm.

Sara Ethel Marie Wolf


Farmland, IN

Sara Ethel Marie Wolf, 77, was reunited with her family in heaven on August 3, 2016.

She was born on February 18, 1939 in Eaton, Indiana to Herbert and Georgia (Rathel ) Wright.  She was a 1958 graduate of Eaton High School.  Sara worked for Duffy Tool retiring after 33 years of employment.

On May 31, 1988, she married John Wolf in Kentucky.

Sara loved her family and loved to take care of people.  She enjoyed school, where she sung in the choir.  She loved to read and to play cards.  Most of all she was known for her caring heart and especially, her smile.

Her father Herbert, built Pitman-Richman Funeral Home back in 1956 and the funeral home has been a special place to her family.

She is survived by her husband of 28 years, John Wolf, her children: Bruce Jones (Glenda), Duana Jones (Rick), Wendy Buckmaster (Mike) and Mark Wolf, seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, her brother, Eugene Wright, sister, Dorothy Schroeder (Richard), as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Sara was preceded in death by four brothers: William Hurley, Louie Wright, Oren Wright and Fred Wright and six sisters: Betty Connor, Alberta June Clark, Kay Chism, Becky Eppard, Judy Egly and Ellen Kreischer.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, August 8, 2016 at the Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton with Pastor Vernon Huffman officiating.  Burial will follow at Eaton Union Cemetery.

 Visitation for friends and family will be on Monday from 11:00 to 1:00 pm prior to services.

David Chenoweth


Eaton, IN

David Chenoweth, 75, passed away on July 19, 2016 at the AMG Specialty Hospital, Muncie.

He was born on March 31, 1941 to Lowell Forrest and Dawna (Beck) Chenoweth.  He was a graduate of Eaton High School in 1959 and served his country in the Army National Guard.

David worked several different jobs over the years but is most known for his work as a brick mason.

He is survived by his sister-in-law: Becky Chenoweth, two nephews, Brian Chenoweth (Marsha) and Stephen Chenoweth (Sylvia), two nieces, Denise Thieme and Tracy Grimes (Myron), several great-nieces and nephews and also several great-great-nieces and nephews as well as many friends.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest and Dawn Chenoweth, and his brother, Paul Chenoweth.

Visitation for friends and family will from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton.

Burial will be made in Eaton Union Cemetery at a later date.

Timothy M. Wright


Shideler, IN

Timothy M Wright, 51, went home to be with the Lord Sunday Morning July 10, 2016 at his home in Eaton IN.

He was born in Hartford City October 1, 1964 to the parents of Louie V. and Shirley J. (McLeland) Wright. He was formerly employed at Mid-West Auto Body Panels in Eaton.

He is Survived by his mother Shirley, Son Tyler M. Wright (fiancé Barbie Beeman, granddaughter Kaydence Wright) and daughter Courtney Wright. He has three brothers, David T. Wright of Eaton (wife: Kimberly), Michael K. Wright of Muncie (wife: Megan, daughter Ava) and Timothy J Wright of Shideler IN., his friend and Mother of his children Lori Murray (Husband: Steve).

Tim attended Delta High School and served his country through the U.S. Army.  He was an avid WWE wrestling and Colts fan. He loved being outdoors fishing and canoeing , spending time with his family and friends which he adored. He was a gentle spirit with a big heart and all who knew him will have wonderful memories to keep his spirit alive.

He worked For Meridian Foods, Eaton Stone Image, Muncie Tru Form, Hartford City and Midwest Auto Body Panels Eaton in his lifetime.

He is preceded in Death by his Father Louie V. Wright, Grandparents, Aunts & Uncles along with some close friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home  200 S. Hartford St., Eaotn with Pastor Daryl Nichols officiating.  Burial with Military Rites by the Delaware County Veterans Honor Guard will be at the Eaton Union Cemetery. 

Visitation will be on Thursday from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm.

Richard L. "Rick" Marine


EATON, IN

Richard L. “Rick” Marine, 69, passed away on July 9, 2016 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.

Rick was born on August 14, 1946 in Muncie, Indiana to Farrell and Crystal (Smith) Marine.  He graduated from Eaton High School in 1964.  After high school Rick attended and graduated from Nashville Diesel Auto College.

Rick served his country in the Army National Guard for several years. On March 3, 1968 he married Romanelle Tharp.

He and Romanelle owned and operated the Eaton Union 76 gas station in Eaton from 1979 until 1992.  A diesel mechanic by trade, Rick also drove trucks for McCammon Trucking, Illuminated Images and Buddy L Trucking.  He was also a long time member of the Amvets Post #12.

Rick had a passion for photography and being around the water.  He loved water skiing, was a long time scuba diver and instructor and was also a certified cave diver.  Rick traveled the world diving, exploring and taking photographs . 

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Romanelle Marine, his daughter, Deanna Nichols (David), a brother, Randy Marine (Judy), two grandchildren, Matthew Nichols and Kaylee Nichols, nephew Randall Marine, niece Lindsay Marine, several cousins and his dog, Lucy.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Farrell and Crystal Marine.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton, with Pastor Steve DeLisle officiating. Burial will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., and one hour prior to services Saturday.

Ollie Margaret Corner

Hartford City, IN

Ollie Margaret Corner, 90, passed away with her family by her side, on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.

She was born on August 27, 1925 in Hillsboro, Kentucky to Henry and Sarah (Wallace) Dailey.  Margaret married Lee Mansfield and together they had four children.

On September 9, 1974 she married Willard Corner. 

Margaret loved to fish, play cards, garden and enjoyed canning what she grew.  In addition to being a homemaker, Margaret worked for several factories over the years.  She attended the Heartland Bible Chapel in Hartford City and was a member of the Warner Gear Sympathy Club and the Fisher Body Sympathy Club.

Margaret was an avid shopper but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children: Bob Mansfield (Sandy), Dianna Hendricks (Barry) and Connie Duckworth (Brad), her step-children; Connie Wyrick-Geiling (Bill) and Gloria McKinley (Greg), two sisters, Lorena Reynonlds and Opal Hart, as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents , she was preceded in death by her husband Willard Corner, her son, Charles Mansfield, step-son, Larry Corner, step-daughter, Barbara Thornburg, her brother, Alex Dailey, four sisters: Florence Freeman, Bernice Mansfield, Delores Purcell and Helen Riley, two half-sisters; Hazel Bea and Lilla Mae, grandson, Matt Mansfield, and a great-granddaughter, Kristen Smith and a great-great-granddaughter, Aria Mansfield.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, July 11, 2016 at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton with Pastor Thom Rittichier officiating.  A committal service will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery chapel.  

Visitation for family and friends will be on Monday from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. prior to services.

Lowell D. Rose

EATON, IN

Lowell D. Rose, 82, passed away on July 1, 2016 at his home. 

Lowell was born on May 11, 1934 in Eaton, Indiana to George and Oletha (Manor) Rose.  He was a graduate of Eaton High School, class of 1952.  He married Helen Bales on December 31, 1954 in Eaton.  Together they would have three daughters and raise their family in Eaton.

Lowell served his country by serving in the Army.  He worked for Borg Warner retiring after 44 years of employment and also worked part-time for Pitman-Richman Funeral Home for many years. 

Lowell attended the Eaton Church of God for many years, was a member of the UAW Local #287, Warner Gear Sympathy Club, and was a 50 year member of the Eaton Lodge #606 F&AM.

Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Helen Rose, three daughters: Debbie Hall (husband, Marty), Melissa Bushman and Cindy Murray (Tyler Holly), six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Rose and Virgil Rose, and three sisters: Mary Smith, Amelia Ellis and Carlene Sue Davis.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at the Eaton Church of God 700 E. Harris St., Eaton, with Pastor Ken Mishler officiating.  Burial will follow at the Eaton Union Cemetery.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton one hour prior to services Wednesday, at the church.

James A. Grove


Eaton, IN

James A. Grove, 72, passed away on June 6, 2016 at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

James was born in Muncie on January 6, 1944 to Laurice and Betty (Smith) Grove.  He graduated from Cowan High School in 1962 and went on to serve his country in the Army.

James worked as a millwright for Ontario Corporation, served two terms as the Union Township Trustee, and served on both the Parker City Volunteer Fire Dept. and Eaton Volunteer Fire Dept.  He was a long time member of the Amvets Post 12, Royerton, and was Vice Commander of the Disabled American Veterans, under the Lawrence Monroe Commandery, in Hartford City. Additionally he had a passion for cars and was known for his continuous trading.

He is survived by his son, Matthew Grove, one brother, Daniel Reed (Debbie), Matthew’s mother, Linda Grove, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his son, Mark Grove, four brothers and two sisters.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at the Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton, with Brian Waters officiating.  Burial will follow at the Eaton Union Cemetery with military rites rendered by the Delaware County Veterans Organization.

Visitation prior to services will be on Saturday from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. at the funeral home.

She was born in Indiana  on April 23, 1935 to Ken and Ruth Hankins.  She married Harold Smith in 1952.

She is survived by her husband Harold Smith, her children: William Smith, Gary Smith and Samara Perry, as well as her grandchildren, brother and sisters, and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, 10703 N. State Road 3, Muncie, IN 47303.

Susan Bailey

Susan Kaye Bailey, 56, passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at her home with her family by her side.  

She was born on January 5, 1960 in Muncie to Larry and Marilyn (Felt) Stotler.  She was a 1978 graduate of Delta High School and attended the Eaton Church of God.   Susan formerly worked for Ball State University for almost 14 years.

Susan married Craig Bailey on June 30, 2001 in Eaton. 

Surviving is her husband, Craig Bailey, their children: Ryan Gassman, Christa Gassman, Kristopher Selvey, Brittany Bailey and Brianna Bailey, grandson, Hunter Murphy, her father Larry Stotler, three brothers: Bruce Stotler, Larry Stotler (wife, Julie) and Doug Stotler, sister, Laura Ann Richardson (husband, Lester), as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins that she loved very much.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Marilyn (Feltt) Stotler.

A Memorial service will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Friday, May 13, 2016 at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton with Pastors Scott and Earlene Lamperd officiating.

Ann Strunk

M. Ann Strunk, 62, passed away Friday evening May 6, 2016 with her family by her side.

Ann was born on September 9 1953 in Tipton, Indiana.  She married Scott Strunk on September 13, 1980 in Eaton.

Ann was a member of the Eaton Baptist Church.  She worked several jobs over the years but the most important job she had was that of a foster mother.   Her family was the most important part of her life.

She is survived by her husband Scott Strunk, two daughters, Crystal Callahan and Shirley Fox (husband, Jeremy) granddaughter, Khloe Callahan, her mother, Virginia Lawson, her siblings: Bill Horton (wife, Debbie), Brenda Brumley (husband, Dave), Tanya Reed (husband, Todd), Mark Wilkerson (wife, Teresa), and John Wilkerson (wife, Kay), as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Lawson.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at the Eaton First Baptist Church, 510 E. Columbia St., Eaton, with Rev. Chuck Davis officiating.  Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Muncie.

Teddy G. Smith

Teddy G. Smith, 75, passed away on March 26, 2016 at Golden Living Center in Muncie.

He was born in Burkesville, Kentucky on May 19, 1940 to Elvin Ray and Lela (Witham) Smith.  He attend Cumberland County High School and moved to Muncie, Indiana in the 1960s.

Teddy retired from Feeny Manufacturing in Muncie.  He loved to fish and also enjoyed working in the yard.

He is survived by his children: Michael Ray Smith, of Surprise, Arizona, Kelly Lee Smith of San Diego, California, granddaughters, Jamie Smith (Andy),  and Taylor Hatch and serval nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Teddy was preceded in death by his sister, Geraldine Johnson and her husband, Robert, and his brother, Herman Smith.

Visitation for family and friends will be at the Pitman-Richman Funeral Home 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton, on Thursday, March 31, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.

Funeral services will be held in Kentucky at Ballou and Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Burkesville, KY, on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 10:00 am.  Visitation prior to services will start at 9:00 am.  Burial will follow the services at Myers Ridge Cemetery.

Bonnie Grider Gayheart

Bonnie Grider Gayheart, 86, passed away on March 7, 2016 at Golden Living Center in Muncie.
She was born on June 3, 1929 in Burkesville, Kentucky and graduated from Cumberland County High School. 
She married Henry Grider after high school and together they would have three sons.  Henry and Bonnie owned and operated the pool hall and grocery in Eaton for several years.. 
Bonnie attended the Eaton Church of God since 1979 and could always be found working at Eaton Video with her son David.
Following Henry’s death in 1970, she married Leroy Gayheart on August 15, 1975 in Eaton.
Bonnie is survived by her children: David Grider, Rick Grider (wife, Laura), Gary Grider (wife, Leigh Ann), Michael Gayheart (wife, Ann), Rebecca Gayheart, Jeff Gayheart (wife, Lori), and Rita Koger (husband, John), her sister, Mildred Morris (husband, Dick), son-in-law, Joe Cox, special niece, Linda Rench (husband, Chuck), fifteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews, her brother-in-law, Evan Grider (wife, Mary), and three sisters-in-law, Mary Cox (husband, John), Doris Humphrey, and Margaret Moore.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her first husband Henry Grider, her second husband, Leroy Gayheart,  a daughter, Jayne Cox, two sisters, Bessie Smith and Kate Lackey, and two grandchildren, Amy Gayheart-Stefanski and Adam Nickerson.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, March 14, 2016 at the Eaton Church of God, 700 E. Harris St., Eaton with Pastor Andy Denniston officiating.  Burial will follow at the Eaton Union Cemetery.
Visitation for family and friends will be on Sunday, March 13, 2016 from 3:00 until 7:00 P.M. at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton and from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M., Monday, at the church.

Arlene Kay McClellan

Arlene Kay McClellan, 73, passed away on March 2, 2016 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.

Kay was born on the 4th of July, 1942 in Hartford City to Melvin and Amelia (Dick) Smith.  She graduated from Eaton High School class of 1960.  After graduating, Kay served her country in the Army Medical Corps. 

On February 25, 1972, she married Clayton “Dusty” McClellan in Eaton.  Together they would have two daughters, Lisa and Patti.

Kay worked for Blackford County Hospital for several years as a ward clerk.  She finished her career in health care at Medical Consultants.  She was a long-time member of the Eaton First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ and the Amvets Post 12 in Royerton.

Kay is survived by her daughters, Lisa Thomas, and Patti Enyeart (husband, Ray), her brother, Glen Smith (wife, Susan), five grandchildren: Emilee Thomas, Shelbi Thomas, Tristen Enyeart, Taylor Enyeart, and Clayton Daniel Enyeart, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton “Dusty” McCl ellan and a sister Carolyn Jean Smith.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, March 7, 2016 at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton with Pastor Steve DeLisle presiding.  Burial with Military Rites by the Delaware County Veterans Honor Guards, will follow at Union Cemetery in Eaton.

Kathleen Cates McClain


EATON, IN

Kathleen Cates McClain, 90, passed away, on February 29, 2016 at Morrison Woods in Muncie.

Kathleen was born on April 25, 1925 in Delaware County to Ernest and Ruth (Stephenson) Justice.  She graduated from Harrison Township School in 1943 and married Hobart Cates on March 8, 1946.   Together they would raise their four children on the family farm.  Hobart passed away on February 6, 1974. 

On April 15, 1978, Kathleen married George McClain. 

Kathleen was a member of Dunkirk Mount Tabor Methodist Church, where she served in several capacities.   She loved gardening, sewing and baking.

Kathleen is survived by her children: Elaine Arnold (John Nuckols), Hartford City, Helen Schache, Tampa, FL, Louise Schnepf (husband, Dave), Albany, Keith Cates of Muncie, Marty McClain (wife, Teresa), Muncie, Doug McClain (wife, Tina), Geneva, IL, Scott McClain (wife, Amy), Albany, Mark Tobias (wife, Janice) of Zanesville, a sister, Ona Frances Hussey of Ann Arbor, MI, twelve grandchildren: Johnna Schache  (Roger Davenport) Stacey Rupp (husband, Jim), Trista Kikendall (husband, Ryan), Dawn Arnold, Cami Reynolds (husband, Corey), LeShea Cates-Cullison (Kathy), Tyler VanMeter, Chase McClain, Noah Tobias, Anne Mei McClain, Evan McClain, and Eleanor McClain, her great-grandchildren: Brayton Myrick, Ashlyn Reynolds, Olivia Smith, Owen Rupp, Keeleigh Kikendall, Quentin Smith, Kade Kikendall, Zac Reynolds, Mallory Rupp, and Karter Kikendall, extended family member, Coy Phillips, of Eaton, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her first husband Hobart, Kathleen was preceded in death by her second husband, George McClain in 1989 and a brother, Ivan Justice.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on March 5, 2016 at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton with Pastor Randy Davis officiating. Private burial will be made at Union Cemetery, Eaton.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Saturday from 2:00 until 3:00 pm.

Iva Vernice Norrick


EATON, IN

Iva Vernice Norrick, 93, passed away on February 28, 2016 at Signature Health Care in Muncie.

Vernice was born on September 10, 1922 in Delaware County to Walter and Dorothy (Smoot) Lewellen.  She was a graduate of Eaton High School, class of 1941.  On February 20, 1943, she married Robert Norrick in Eaton.  Together they would raise their two daughters and live the majority of their lives in Eaton.

Vernice was a homemaker but worked for JC Penny’s and also for The Family Store in Eaton.  She was a long-time member of the Eaton United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.

She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl McKinley (husband, Mike), Susie DeVault  (husband, Jack), a brother, Lavon Lewellen (wife, Wanda), half-brothers; Dick Haggard (wife, Barb), and Ron Haggard (wife, Karen), granddaughter, Amy Vandergriff, a great-grandson, Brayden Vandergriff, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband Robert Norrick, Vernice was preceded in death by a brother, David Allen Lewellen and her step-father Clark Haggard.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton with Brian Waters officiating.  Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie.

Visitation for friends and family will be on Wednesday at the funeral home, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm.

Virginia McCallister


Eaton, IN

Virginia C. McCallister, 93, passed away on February 16, 2016 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.

Virginia was born in Delaware County on March 4, 1922 to Raymond and Sylvia (Matchett) Reynolds.  She attended Eaton schools and later married Charles McCallister.

Virginia worked for restaurant in Eaton and was a member of the American Legion Aux in Eaton.  She was a member of the Muncie South Foursquare Church in Muncie.

She is survived by a sister, Sandra Patterson (husband, Lee), two brothers, John Reynolds and Earl Reynolds, and her great-niece, Betty Jo Lewis, whom she raised as her own, three grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Renee Reynolds, as well as several nieces and nephews.
 
In addition to her parents and her husband Charles, Virginia was preceded in death by a son, Raymond Lee Morris, five brothers: Richard Reynolds, Clifford Reynolds, Donald Reynolds, Phillip Reynolds, and Eugene Reynolds. 
 
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, February 19, 2016 at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton with Pastor Warren Willie officiating.  Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory, Muncie.

Visitation for friends and family will be at the funeral home on Friday from, 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Lucy Myers


Dunkirk, IN
Lucy A. Myers, 88, passed away on February 10, 2016 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Dunkirk, Indiana.
Lucy was born on March 19, 1927 in Portland to Homer and Minnie (Blankenbaker) Vore.  She graduated from Redkey High School and married Lloyd Myers on August 15, 1945 in Lebanon, Missouri. 
Prior to working for Sheller Globe, Lucy and Lloyd owned and operated a restaurant  in Eaton.  Lucy loved to play bingo and spent much of her time babysitting her grandchildren.
Lucy is survived by her seven children: Alice (Kenny) Bennett, Herbert (Randa) Myers, Carrie Turner, Dorothy Poore, William “Billy” (Billie Jean) Myers, Floyd “Kenny” (Peggy) Myers, and Elizabeth Harker, 26 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren, and her sister Lovera Stockton.
In addition to her parents and husband, Lloyd, Lucy was preceded in death by two sons, Melvin Myers and Homer Myers;  ten brothers and sisters; three son-in-laws, Cliff Turner, Kelly Poore, and James “Bo” Harker, a granddaughter, a great-grandson and a great-granddaughter.  
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton, with Pastor Tom Fett officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, Eaton.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at the funeral home from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Monday, February 15, 2016 and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.

Judy Jones McWilliams


EATON, IN

Judy Jones McWilliams, 64, passed away, January 26, 2016 at Yorktown Manor.

Judith Kay Jones was born on July 2, 1951, the daughter of Max W. Jones and Maxine (Hiatt) Jones.  She was one of identical twins.

Judy attended Eaton High School and married young during Vietnam.  She was a stay at home mother of three girls.

She is survived by her twin Janice Ann Walker (husband, Bill), of Muncie, her brother, Phillip Lee Jones (wife, Karen) of Franklin, TN, and her 90 year old mother, Maxine Jones of Muncie, three daughters: Suzette Rene Navarro (husband, Ernie) of Seattle, WA, Marcy Kay Aquino (husband, Gary) of Seattle, WA, and Jaime Lynn Taylor (husband, Mark) of White Bluff, TN; eight grandchildren: Michael Beall, Christopher Beall, Jonathan Navarro, Kimberly Navarro, James Lee Martin (wife, Rona), Dylan Martin, Brooklyn Taylor; four great-grandchildren: Katelyn Leigh Martin, Lucas James Martin, Mia Marie Martin, and Brantley Jay Martin.

Judy was preceded in death by her father, Max W. Jones, one grandchild, two cousins, aunts, uncles, and her grandparents.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, January 29, 2016 at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton, with Pastor Tony Collins officiating.  Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, Eaton.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm, prior to services.

Dennis L. Morgan


EATON, IN

Dennis L. Morgan, 75, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2016 at his home.

The son of Loyd and Irene (Boyle) Morgan, Dennis was born on January 15, 1941 in Muncie.  He graduated from Eaton High School in 1959 and went on to serve his country in the US Navy from 1959 to 1963. 

On August 7, 1960, he married Barbara King in Bluffton.  Together they would have four children. 

Dennis worked for Indiana Bridge as a welder and then a foreman, retiring after 40 years of employment.  He was a longtime member of the Masonic Lodge #433 F&AM and also served on the Eaton Volunteer Fire Department for over 15 years.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Barbara Morgan, four daughters: Teresa Beall (husband, Tim), Sandra Couch (husband, Bryan), Sharon Stevens (husband, Mel), and Mary Wright; nine grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, January 25, 2016 at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton with Pastor Mark Wilkerson officiating.  Burial with Military Rites by the Delaware County Veterans Honor Guard will follow in Thompson Cemetery, Gaston.

Visitation will be on Monday from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm.

Crystal Lee Padgett


 

 

EATON, IN

Crystal Lee Padgett, 25, of Eaton, Indiana, unexpectedly passed the morning of Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 6:37 at IU Ball Memorial Hospital.

Crystal was born January 5th, 1991 to William “Billy” and Sonya (Rizzo) Padgett at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana.  She graduated from Delta High School in 2009.  Crystal gave birth to her beautiful son, Kaylub Blaze Reibsome on January 5, 2009 (father, Brandon Reibsome).  

Crystal enjoyed playing softball, going on walks, playing with her son, and board games.  Most importantly Crystal absolutely loved being surrounded by family and close friends.  She was very generous and caring. She had a big heart and enjoyed helping others.

Crystal’s loving heart is survived by her son, Kaylub Reibsome; her parents: William “Billy” T. Padgett Jr. and Sonya (Rizzo) Padgett; three sisters: Loren Mansfield (husband, Austin), Breanna Padgett and Lyriah Padgett; nephew; Justyn Mansfield, grandparents: Debbie (Pankey) Rizzo, Linda (Swingley) Bailey, Lucian Rizzo II; uncles: Brett Bailey (wife, Amanda) Lucian Rizzo III, Dan Pankey (wife, Terri), cousins: Ryan and Ali Bailey, Alexis Keeley and Eric Pankey.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton with Rev. Bobby Thomas officiating.  Private burial will be in Union Cemetery, Eaton.

Visitation from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm, prior to services Thursday at the funeral home.

Crystal, you will be missed by many.  You touched many hearts with your gentle care.  You were taken too early.  You are now out of pain and can now look over all of us forced to live on without you.  I never got to tell you how much I love you.  You were a wonderful big sister.  You taught me very much.  You were always there for me when I needed you.  I will always have you in my heart.  I love you big sis.
