Ralph Edward Roberts, 88,
passed away, December 30, 2012 in Bradenton, Florida.
Ralph Edward Roberts was born
in Eaton, Indiana, on December 24, 1924 to Ralph Waldo and Freda (Tait)
Roberts. He attended Eaton High School
and joined the United States Navy on February 15, 1944.
He married Thelma Jewel Owen
on April 3, 1948, in Muncie. Ralph worked
and retired from Borg-Warner after 35 years of employment. Ralph was a 32 degree Master Mason, belonging
to the Scottish Rite Valley of Ft. Wayne and the Shriners Club.. He was also a member of the American Legion.
Ralph is survived by his
loving wife of 64 years, Thelma Roberts, son, Gary Roberts (wife, Julie) of Atlanta,
Georgia, and Yolanda Wilson (husband, Delmer) of Muncie, three grandchildren:
Brian Roberts, Sherri Wilson (husband, Josiah) and Sean Wilson, two
great-grandchildren, Paige and Isaiah, and one brother Howard Roberts (wife,
Isla).
In addition to his parents,
Ralph was preceded in death by a sister Janet Lewis.
Visitation for friends and
family will be on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the
Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton.
A private family burial will
be at Union Cemetery, Eaton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials
may be made in his name to the charity of the donor’s choice.
