Novella Katherine Cook, 83

Eaton, IN

Novella Katherine Cook, 83, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 23, 2010 surrounded by her loving family.

Born Novella Robbins in 1927, she spent her early years in Jamestown, TN. In 1947 she married Jack Cook, who survives, and moved to Eaton, IN where she worked at several businesses in town, but spent most of her time caring for her home and family, volunteering at her church and tending her huge flower and vegetable garden.

Three children were born to Jack and Novella; Jackie Dale (wife Sharon) who survives. Richard and Kathy Sue who were called to Jesus as infants. Novella had a love of life and laughter with friends and family. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren: Christopher(wife Angie), Suzanne (husband Gary) and Craig (wife Wendi), and also her great grandchildren; Elizabeth Cook, Dylan Cook, Alexis Cook, Jared Coats and Emily Coats, who survive. Siblings surviving are her brothers; Eugene Robbins (wife Zelma) of Richmond, KY, John Riley Robbins (wife Brenda) of Jamestown, TN, one sister, Ida Matheny of Dayton, OH, special sisters-in law; Mary York of Muncie, who spent many days at her bedside, Marie Upchurch, Ruby Cook both of Pall Mall, TN, Barbara Robbins of Jamestown, TN,
and Debbie Cook, of Muncie and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to Novella's two infants, she is preceded in death by her father and mother, Asby and Artha Robbins, two brothers, Tyler Robbins, who died in battle during WW ll and George Robbins; 3 brothers-in-law, Victor Cook, James Cook, and Herb Matheny.

Friends and family may visit on Wednesday, August 25th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Pitman Richman Funeral Home 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton, IN.

Funeral services for Novella will be held on Friday, August 27th at 12:00 Noon, central time at the Wolf River Methodist Church in Pall Mall, TN, with burial in the Wolf River Cemetery. Friends and family may visit at the church two hours before services.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Jennings Funeral Home, 414 N. Main St., Jamestown, TN, is in charge of services in Tennessee.
