Virginia Mae Bell, 88, passed
away on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Hartford City.
She was born on April 2, 1927
to Chester and Dorothy Penrod. Virginia
attended Muncie Central High School and married Ernest Bell. Together they would raise their three sons in
Delaware County.
Virginia was a mother and
homemaker. She enjoyed company and
enjoyed serving her visitors meals.
Virginia and Ernest loved to watch sporting events, especially those of
their grandchildren.
She is survived by her
children: Larry Bell (fiance, Mona Bland), Phil Bell, and Bill Bell (wife,
Glenda), her adopted daughter, Karen Bilbrey, a brother, Ralph Penrod (wife,
Joyce), as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and
great-great-grandchildren.
Virginia was preceded in
death by her parents, Chester and Dorothy Penrod, and her husband Ernest Bell
in 1994.
Funeral services will be held
at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200
S. Hartford St., Eaton, with Brian Waters officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery, Eaton.
Visitation for family and
friends will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, Wednesday, prior to services.
