Faye Ann Roberts
Waldo went home to be with the Lord, on Friday, August 22, 2014 at her home in
Fort Myers, FL after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on September 5th, 1935 in Muncie, IN, to the
late Ward Roberts and Lovell B. Edmonds Roberts. Faye graduated from Muncie
Central in 1953 and the former Ball State Nursing College. During her nursing
career at the former Ball Hospital, Faye met a patient and the love of her
life, John David Waldo. They were married on March 9, 1956 at the Eaton
Methodist Church. During their time together, they had two sons: David Emerson
(deceased) and Mark Edward (Janet) Waldo.
Faye was also a nurse for Dr. Weisner in Eaton before
retiring to farm. Faye and John bought their dream home in Matlacha, FL in
1979. She moved to Fort Myers in 1995 after the loss of John.
In Fort Myers she was
a member of the McGregor Baptist Church. Faye was an amazing wife, mother and
aunt. Her home was always open to family and friends. Faye’s chicken and
dumplings were requested at every family gathering.
In addition to her

great-granddaughters, Mareah and Ellie Penix, nieces Yvonne Pine, Judi (Gaylord) Stough and
