Jeffrey W. Younce, 61, passed away unexpectedly, Friday,
July 11, 2014 at Hancock Regional Hospital.
Jeffrey was born on April 18, 1953 in Muncie, Indiana to
Donald and Janet (Bales ) Younce. He was
a 1971 graduate of Wes-Del High School and went on to serve his country in the
Navy.
In 1980, Jeffrey earned a Bachelor of Science in Education
from Ball State University; Majoring in Criminal Justice, Social Studies, and
Sociology. In 1985 he earned his Master’s
in Education from Ball State.
Jeffrey worked for Allied Barton Security at Lafayette
Square in Indianapolis.
He is survived by his mother, Janet Younce, companion, Carolyn Auten and her daughter,
Lindsay Auten, two brothers: Steve Younce (Pat Barnes), and Randy Younce (Becky),
a sister, Lynn Scroggins (Stephen), six nieces and nephews: Michelle Jennings
(Matt), Jason Fuson (Brandy), Kevin Scroggins (Ginger), Devin Scroggins, Jordan
Younce, and Kelsey Younce, as well as many friends.
Jeffrey was preceded in death by his father, Donald Younce.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. July 15, 2014 at the Pitman-Richman Funeral
Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton, with Max James officiating. Burial with Military Rites by the Delaware
County Veterans Honor Guard will follow in Jones Cemetery, Muncie.
Visitation for family and friends will be at the funeral
home on Monday, July 14, 2014 from 3:00 to 8:00 P.M. and one hour prior to
services Tuesday.
