EATON, IN—
Donald D. Wilber, 77, passed
away Saturday morning, Oct. 24, 2015, at his home, after a lengthy illness.
He was born on January 3,
1938 in Muncie, the son of Alton Parker and Fern (Hottischel) Wilber, attended
Yorktown Schools and married Bernice Irene Monroe on January 28, 1959.
Don and his wife, moved to
Eaton in 1967. He had worked for RockTenn of Eaton for twenty-two years, retiring in 1989. He had
also worked for Boxell Sign Company and Nixon Farms and attended
the Full Gospel Lighthouse Tabernacle, Dunkirk.
His family he leaves behind
includes three sons: Clarence “Eugene”
(wife, Sherry) Wilber, Donald “Bub” (wife, Judy) Wilber, and Edward “Benny”
Wilber. Two daughters: Dorothy “Doty” (husband, Danny) Stafford and
Rose Marie “Sis” (husband, Scott) Miller and eighteen grandchildren, several
great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by
his parents, his wife Bernice on March 1, 2011, a daughter, Mary K Blevins on
May 18, 2010, a grandson, Bobby Jo Stafford, a sister Beverly Wilber and two
brothers, Bob and Jack Wilber , and another sister Rose Blevins.
A service to celebrate
Donald’s life will be at 11:00 a .m. Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at the
Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton, with Rev. Bobby Thomas
presiding. Burial will be at Union
Cemetery, Eaton, after the service.
Visitation will be from 6:00
to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 27th and an hour prior to the service on Wednesday,
at the funeral home.
