Mary Reed


EATON, IN

Mary T. Reed, 78, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2014, surrounded by her loving family, at Albany Health and Rehabilitation.

Mary was born on December 12, 1935 in Delaware County to George and Hazel (Webb) Aul.  She attended Yorktown High School and married Lloyd Reed on March 1, 1952 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Muncie. 

Together they would raise their six children.  Lloyd and Mary owned and operated Reed Plastic Tops in Muncie. 

Mary was a member of the Moose Lodge, bowled in several leagues, and enjoyed playing euchre and bingo.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Lloyd Reed, her children: Christina Staton (husband, Paul), Richard Reed, Danny Reed (wife, Tracey), Todd Reed (wife, Tanya), Ronald Reed (wife, Lisa), and Tina Selvey; a brother, Jerry Aul, two sisters, Loraine Greer, and Darlene Lee, thirteen grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: Robert Aul, John Aul, and Norman Aul, and three sisters: Corene Greer, Lucille Barnes, and Thelma Columbus.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 from 3:00 to 7:00 P.M.  at the Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton.

Memorials may be made in her name to the National Parkinson Foundation: 200 SE 1st Street, Miami, FL 33131.

The family would like to thank the staff of Albany Health and Rehabilitation and Heart to Heart Hospice for their excellent care.

Sherri E. Joslin


EATON, IN

Sherri E. Joslin, 71, passed away, Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Bethlehem Woods in Fort Wayne.

Sherri was born on December 7, 1942 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Paul and Murletta (Beecher) Reigel.  She was a graduate of Eaton High School, class of 1961.  Sherri went on to study at Patricia Stevens Finishing School in Indianapolis.

Sherri married Charles Thomas “Tom” Joslin on January 1, 1963.  Together they would raise three children.

Sherri was a homemaker and also worked at JC Penny.  She enjoyed traveling, camping, cross stitching, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children: Jamie Joslin (husband, Mitch Morrolf), Lisa Riggin (husband, Wes), and Charles Thomas “Tom” Joslin II, former husband, Charles Thomas “Tom” Joslin Sr., grandchildren: Alexandra, Brandon, Taylor, Abigail, Jake, Shelby, and Noah; a sister, Sandra Howell; three nephews: Trent Cross, Rodney Cross, and Marty Cross, as well as many friends.

Sherri was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Murletta Reigel, and a niece, Valerie Lechien.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00  Noon, Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at the Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton with Pastor Gary Cox officiating.  Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, Eaton.

Visitation for friends and family will be at the funeral home on Monday, May 12, from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. and one hour prior to services Tuesday.
