Mary Foust


 
EATON, IN

Mary B. Foust, 73, passed away, Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.

Mary was born on December 20, 1940 in Granville, Indiana, to Claude and Florence (Hart) Brenner.  She was a 1959 graduate of Eaton High School.  On July 8, 1966 she married Charles Richard Foust, in Eaton.  Together they would remain in the Eaton area where they raised their three daughters.

Mary worked at several businesses including Woolworths Dime Store and RockTenn.  She also attended the Eaton First Church of God for many years.  Mary loved being “on the go”.  She enjoyed flowers and working outside.  She collected Coca-Cola items, unique paperweights, and dolls.  Mary’s favorite hobby was spoiling her grandson.  She will be missed and remembered for being a truly caring and unselfish person.

She is survived by her daughters: Lesa Foust (Russ), Pam Foust, and Becky Foust, one brother, George “Sonny” Brenner (Zona), grandson, Cody Watkins, sister-in-law, Delores Mullins (Mike), as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews,  great-great nieces and nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Foust, and a sister, Karen Sue Shoemaker.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, March 31, 2014 at the Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton with Pastor Andy Denniston officiating.  Burial will follow at Union Cemetery, Eaton.

Visitation for family and friends will be at the funeral home on Sunday, March 30, 2014 from 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. as well as from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Monday.

Mary L. Ward


HARTFORD CITY, IN

Mary L. Ward, 71, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 23, 2014 in Madison County.

Mary was born on January 19, 1943 to Ancel and Carrie (White) Ward. She graduated from Eaton High School in 1963 and later worked at IU Ball Memorial Hospital for 38 years.

Mary was very active in her community. She volunteered at the nursery at Agape Ministries, as well as IU Health Blackford Community Hospital, and with the Red Cross at the Blackford County Blood Bank. Mary also attended the Lighthouse Calvary Christian Church.

Survivors include three sisters, Patricia (Charles) Wilson, Elizabeth Creamer, and Janet (Donald) Weaver; special friends, Rita Brocki, Becky Tharp, and Nancy Schafer; as well as several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Sharon Ward; and a brother-in-law, Jack Creamer.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March  28, 2014 at 2:30 P.M. at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton with Rev. Eldon Morehouse officiating. Burial will follow in Hartford City Cemetery.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 12:30 P.M. until 2:30 P.M., prior to funeral services.

Memorials may be made in Mary’s name to the Animal Rescue Fund, (ARF), 1209 W. Riggin Rd., Muncie, IN  47303.

Douglas V. Wash


Muncie, IN

Douglas V. Wash, 83, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.  
 
He was born on March 1, 1931 to Raymond and Josephine (Wagner) Wash in Midway, Kentucky.  He married Barbara Guthrie on March 12, 1955 in Harrisburg, Kentucky and together they raised six children. 

Doug served his country in the United States Army and later worked at Muncie City Schools for many years.  Douglas and Barbara attended the Rushville Baptist Temple

Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Barbara; six children, Rodney (Lena) Wash, Emily (Larry) Campbell, Jonathon (Patty) Wash, Melanie (Steve) Siscoe, Joseph (Kim) Wash, and Tracy (Nathan) Allen; four brothers, fifteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews, and a very special friend Robin Collins.

Douglas was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.

Funeral services with Military Rites by the Delaware County Veterans Honor Guard will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 17, 2014 at the Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton, with Pastor Gary Evans officiating.  Burial will be at Union Cemetery, Eaton.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 12 Noon until 1:00 p.m. prior to services.
