M. Margaret Morris, 91

EATON, IN

M. Margaret Morris, 91, passed away, Sunday, October 2, 2011 at Albany Health Care and Rehabilitation Center.

Margaret was born on November 21, 1919 in Blackford County, Indiana to Harold Sr. and Pearl (Greenlee) Moore. She graduated from Hartford City High School in 1937 and married Albert Tingley Morris on October 2, 1947 in Indianapolis.

Mrs. Morris was a homemaker and very active in her community. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, O’Leara Quirk Unit #90 and she was Past State Sergeant at Arms, the Delaware La Petit Salon #123 of the 8 & 40, the Daughters of the American Revolution, Paul Revere Chapter where she was Past Regent, she was a charter member of the Daughters of American Colonists de la warr Chapter, the Eaton First Christian Church and the Christian Women’s Fellowship.

Margaret enjoyed the rural country life. She loved her vegetable garden and canned several different foods. She also had a deep interest in genealogy.

Surviving are her children: Florence P. Briggs (Lou), Eaton, and Michael A. Murray (Elaine), Eaton, 6 grandchildren, Tony Murray (Erica), Fredericksburg, VA., Melissa Lane (Ken), Muncie, David Crouch (Darla), Eaton, Missy Draper, Eaton, Bill Crouch, Eaton, and Kate Johnson-Keep (Roger), Centerville. 10 great-grandchildren: Amanda, Elizabeth, Kelsey, Kenzie, and Drew Murray, Collin Lane, John Draper, Austin and Sarah Crouch and Maxwell Johnson, and 2 great-great-grandchildren,

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Albert Tingley Morris, four brothers: Billy Moore, Harold E. Moore, Jr., Robert V. Moore, and Jackie L. Moore, a sister, Georgiana, Moore, and three grandchildren: Rex Alan Tingley Besser, Matthew Murray and Mark Murray.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, October 6, 2011 at the Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton, with Pastor Amos Rodgers officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery, Eaton.

Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 pm., Wednesday, October 5, and after 10:00 am Thursday, at the funeral home.
