Matrie L. Wilson, 80

Eaton, IN

Matrie L. Wilson, 80, passed away Monday morning, October 25, 2010 at Ball Memorial Hospital.

The daughter of William and Selesta (Hardwick) Thompson, she was born March 27, 1930 in Somerset, Kentucky. She married Vincent J.R. Wilson on January 2, 1948 in Cains Store, Kentucky.

Matrie was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Eaton.

She is survived by her children, Larry Wilson (wife, Carla), of Portland, and Linda Wyatt, of Liberty, Kentucky, a sister, Alma McFall, of Muncie, and a brother Lloyd Thompson, also of Muncie, as well as, seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Vincent, five brothers: Hubert, Chester, Robert Dale, Hollis, and Charlie Thompson, three sisters: Iva Pitman, Minnie Waddle, and Ella Mae Buis, and one grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, October 29, 2010 in the Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton, with Pastor Bruce Reynolds presiding. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory.

Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 pm., Thursday, October 28 and one hour prior to services Friday.

Doris M. Frederick, 95

Muncie, IN

Doris M. Frederick, 95, passed away Thursday, October 14, 2010 at Albany Health Care and Rehabilitation Center.

The daughter of Milo and Velara (Hartzell) Stafford, she was born on December 3, 1914 in Delaware County. Doris was a graduate of Eaton High School, class of 1934. She married Roy “Fritz” Frederick in 1944.

Doris worked for Ball Brothers for 21 years and also worked 8 years at the Muncie south side Kmart.

She is survived by her sisters Geraldine Hardland, and Betty Fager, sisters-in-law, Marilyn Stafford and Betty Stafford as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents Milo and Velara Stafford, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy “Fritz”, and three brothers, John Stafford, Hubert Stafford, and Max Stafford.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, October 16, 2010 in the Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton. Burial will be at Black Cemetery, Albany.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:00 pm until services Saturday.
