Wayne B. Drake, 82

EATON, IN

WAYNE B. DRAKE, 82, passed away February 22, 2010 in Ball Memorial Hospital.

The son of Bill Drake and O’dell Rogan, he was born in McMinnville, TN. He married Ova Lee Hutchens on September 29, 1945.

Wayne retired from Chevrolet in Muncie and worked in his family’s business, C & C Distributor, in Eaton. He enjoyed gardening and tinkering with many different hobbies.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Ova Lee, a son Keith Drake (wife, Donna F.), grandson, A. Wayne Drake (wife, Donita), four sisters: Sue, Jean, Wanda, and Billie.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents Bill and O’dell, as well as two brothers, John Drake and Wash Drake.

No services will be held. Memorials may be made to the Little Red Door, Cancer Services of Delaware County, 401 W. Jackson St., Muncie, IN 47305.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton.

Max W. Jones, 88

MUNCIE, IN

Max W. Jones, 88, passed away, Tuesday, February 16, 2010 in Ball Memorial Hospital.

The son of Clarence and Nora (Dawson) Jones, he was born May 11, 1921 in Grant County, Indiana.. Max graduated from Eaton High School, class of 1940, and served his country in the US Navy during WWII. He married Maxine Hiatt on June 11, 1945 in Star City, Indiana.
Max retired from Warner Gear in 1985 after 29 years of employment.

Before moving to Muncie, Max lived in Eaton. He served on the Eaton Volunteer Fire Dept. for 20 years, was past-master of the Eaton Lodge #606 F&AM, and was also a member of the O’Leara-Quirk Post #90 American Legion for over 50 years.

Surviving is his wife of 64 years, Maxine Jones, son, Phillip Jones (wife, Karen), Franklin, TN, two daughters, Janice Walker (husband, Bill), Muncie, and Judith McWilliams, Muncie, brother, David Jones (wife, Maxine), Muncie, a sister Mildred Smoot, Muncie, 8 grandchildren: Douglas Jones (wife, Anna), Brentwood, TN, Danny Adams (wife, Jennifer), Midthothian, TX, Thomas Adams (wife, Jennifer), Waxahachie, TX, Susie Navarro (husband, Ernie), Bothell, WA, Amy Jones, Franklin, TN, Marcy Nora, Bothell, WA, Jaime Taylor (husband, Mark), White Bluff, TN, and Janet Parten (husband, David), Waxahachie, TX, a step-granddaughter, Amy Walker-Rodrigues (husband, Jay), Blythe, CA, 19 great-grandchildren, 1 step-great granddaughter, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Clarence and Nora Jones, Max was preceded in death by a brother Rev. John Paul Jones, in 1994, and a sister Martha Day, in 2002.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 20, 2010 in the Pitman Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton, with his nephew Rev. Keith Jones presiding. Burial will be made at Union Cemetery, Eaton.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, February 19, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. and after 12 noon on Saturday.

Max’s family asks that expressions of sympathy be in the form of donations to the Animal Rescue Fund, ARF, 1209 West Riggin Rd., Muncie, IN 47303 or the Eaton Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 276, Eaton, IN 47338.

Pamela K. (Withers) Graley, 57

PAMELA K. (WITHERS) GRALEY, 57, passed away, Sunday, January 31, 2010 in Ball Memorial Hospital.

The daughter of Lurad and Helen (Cooper) Withers, she was born July 3, 1952 in Blackford County. A 1970 graduate of Delta High School, she married Larry Graley on September 27, 1980 in Eaton.

Pamela worked for Blackford County Hospital for over 20 years and retired from Lifetouch in Muncie in 1994. She was also a member of her family’s singing group, the “United Family Gospel Singers”.

She is survived by her son, Josh Graley (wife, Amanda), daughter, Amanda Graley, granddaughter, Kyleen Graley, brothers, Ron Withers (wife, DeeDee), Don Withers (wife, Jean), Ken Withers (wife, Mary), sisters, Shannon Brisco (husband, Kennard), and Loretta Mullens (husband, Ron), step-brothers, Myron Dudelston (wife, Ina), Gary Dudelston, Jack Dudelston and Steve Dudelston (wife, Kim), lifelong friend, Sandy Strunk, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Lurad and Helen, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry, a sister Judy and a brother-in-law, David Graley.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 3, 2010 in the Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton with Rev. Bobby Thomas presiding. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory, Muncie.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and one hour prior to services Wednesday.

Gary R. Keller, 56

ANDERSON, IN

GARY R. KELLER, 56, passed away January 31, 2010 in Anderson.

The son of Robert and Norma (Fisher) Keller, he was born November 17, 1953 in Muncie. He had resided most of his life in Muncie prior to moving to Anderson, 4 years ago.

Gary was a avid Colts fan and loved to fish.

He is survived by his parents Robert and Norma Keller, Muncie, one sister, Karen Gibson (husband, Danial), Muncie, a nephew, Adam Gibson (wife, Dinah), Marion, and a niece, Alaina Gibson of Indiana, Pennsylvania.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 4, 2010 in the Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton, with Daryl Hamlyn presiding. Burial will be at Union Cemetery, Eaton.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 3, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and one hour prior to services Thursday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the DeSoto United Methodist Church or the American Heart Association.
